Weekly Self-Care: Nature Walk
Holistic Nature Therapist, Eleanor Hooper, recommends going on a slow mindful walk outside. It doesn’t matter where you are, the point is to walk with intention tuning into what you hear, taste, feel and see. Walk around the block. Walk a mile or two. With each step, allow your attention to bring you deeper into your body and the present moment. This mindfulness practice increases awareness of what is happening right here, right now. It breaks patterns in the nervous system and takes any thoughts that might be looping in your mind and redirects them to the present moment, allowing you to see things with new eyes. Your body will also appreciate the exercise, fresh air and an opportunity to move any stuck energy from sitting down during work hours and being inside.
Don’t forget your facemask and maintain a physical distance from others as you stroll!🚶🏻
